Noise complaints are increasing

You are not alone. The number of noise complaints in somerville increased dramatically starting in 2019. My hypothesis is that the initial spike was from a flight route change, and the subsequent drop was from a reduction in flights due to covid. As covid restrictions eased and people became more comfortable flying, noise increased to the pre-pandemic peak.
